Julie Schneiderman

Julie Schneiderman is a community-minded advocate for the environment and the arts and co-founder of Women in the Water. She is also founder and CEO of Ecostiks. Inspired by her love of surf, community and the ocean, EcoStiks patches are fully customizable, sustainable, durable fabric stick-on patches made from recycled plastic water bottles designed to bring awareness to single use plastics and support organizations for eco-change. Julie operated Stik N Stuk Creative Studios, a grassroots art and music studio, art co-op, event space, and print shop in Santa Barbara’s art district - the Funk Zone - and the birthplace of the

EcoStiks patch!


Julie holds Masters in International Law and Legal studies, a JD, and a multi-subject teaching credential. She has worked in legal operations for SaaS companies for over 20 years. She has served as a board member and volunteer at a number of local organizations in Santa Barbara, including the Surf Happens Foundation as well as the Executive Director of the Santa Barbara Birth Center. 


Julie just completed the Community Environmental Council’s Environmental Stewardship program and is excited to work with the CEC to bring the Talk O’ Truck to Earth Day to share and record personal stories and experiences connected with climate change.
