Women in the Water’s October Newsletter!
Words By Lindsey Geier and Lyndsey Kenefick
As we grow older, it gets harder and harder to experience something new and exciting without traveling somewhere new. We become so ingrained in the mundane with work, families, responsibilities, and so on. This is why most adults crave vacations, the need to experience something new and unfamiliar.
A Backyard Adventure
Well, with Women In The Water, this is what we are here to help you with. To provide new experiences in your own backyard because we’re oh so VERY lucky to live next to what I consider the most foreign place on Earth, the Ocean…and you don’t even need a passport or a plane to get there.
On a very famous day, Sept 7th, also known as our fearless leader Lyndsey's birthday (yew!), we held our VERY FIRST event actually in the water. We got our community out in the water by SUP’ing for Donuts.
Thank you, Buoy Water Club, for supplying the SUPs. Thank you, Hook & Press, for the edible donut art and LightHouse Coffee for the kick-ass coffee.
Coffee was enjoyed on land, donuts were delivered by kayak out on the water, and joy was overflowing during this very memorable experience.
